Last night I took my HCG trigger shot to get things going for my Wednesday morning egg retrieval. As part of that, I had to take a pregnancy this morning. If the shot was working properly, I should get a positive result.

It worked!

I know it’s not the real thing and I know my emotions are wacky right now (I cried yesterday because Jason’s Deli closed its Orem location…which I’ve known about for ages…) but wow. It was such a cool feeling to finally see a positive result! For so long, month after month those tests were traumatic and brought me to tears because it was still negative. This morning I got teary for the good reasons!

Hopefully hopefully hopefully…I’ll get to experience the real thing soon!
